Picking the right can

A penetrating oil and a silicone spray look the same on the shelf and do opposite jobs. Knowing the difference keeps crews from reaching for the wrong can and gumming up the work.

Utility marking color codes

Inverted marking paint marks the ground fast and accurately. For utility locates, the APWA color code carries meaning, so the right color is not cosmetic, it is the message. Match the can to the standard.

Lubricants are not interchangeable

Penetrating oil frees stuck parts. Silicone is a dry lubricant for rubber and plastic where oil would attract grit. White lithium clings to heavy wear points. Using the wrong one either fails or makes a mess.

Cleaners for shop and equipment

Fast-evaporating contact and brake cleaners flush grease without leaving a film, which matters before paint, adhesive, or reassembly. Foaming cleaners cling to vertical surfaces for detail work.

Why shops standardize on Team Lab aerosols

Consistent performance, can after can

We supply the working aerosols a shop and a field crew actually reach for, with reliable spray, accurate color, and the coverage to last between reorders.

Reliable spray and color

Predictable spray pattern and accurate marking color, so the line looks right and the can does not clog halfway through.

The right product per job

Penetrant, silicone, lithium, cleaner, or marking paint, matched to the task so crews stop guessing.

Stocked as a program

One supplier for the truck and the shop bench keeps reorders simple and inventory predictable.

Aerosols - common questions

What do the marking paint colors mean?

Utility locating follows the APWA color code, where each color stands for a buried utility type. Using the standard color keeps your marks readable to everyone on site.

Penetrating oil frees rusted, stuck parts. Silicone is a dry lubricant for rubber, plastic, and slides where you do not want oil collecting dirt. They are not substitutes.

Inverted marking paint works on soil, turf, and pavement for temporary marks. For permanent striping or athletic fields, use the dedicated traffic or field paints instead.
