Winter Products
Ice melt, pre-storm de-icer, freeze prevention, and cold-weather vehicle products for facilities, public works, and fleets. Built for real northern winters, not a mild cold snap.

T64 • Hydrant Guard
Propylene glycol hydrant anti-freeze, safe where drinking water contact is possible.
T65 • Mr. Slick
Silicone plow blade coating that reduces friction and protects against rust.
T68 • Roughneck Grit – Pints
Heavy duty pumice hand cleaner with aloe vera and vitamin E. Biodegradable.
T79 • Super Dry Graphite

Let’s pick the right product
Choosing winter products by temperature
Not every ice melt works at every temperature, and the cheapest product is not the cheapest answer if it stops melting at 15 degrees. Match the product to your coldest realistic conditions and your surface.
Ice melt by temperature
Plain rock salt slows down around 20°F. Calcium chloride and magnesium chloride keep melting well below zero, which is why blends exist: enough of the strong stuff to perform, balanced against cost for everyday spreading.
Anti-icing versus de-icing
Applying brine before a storm keeps ice from bonding to the pavement, so less product and less labor are needed afterward. De-icing reacts after the fact. The best programs do both.
Protecting equipment and access
Cold readiness covers more than the pavement. A spray de-icer clears frozen windshields, locks, and wipers, a silicone coating keeps snow shedding off plow blades, and hydrant guard stops hydrants from freezing shut.
Why northern facilities work with Team Lab
Winter products chosen for the cold you actually get
We supply ice control and cold-weather products built for hard northern winters, and we help you balance performance, surface safety, and cost per application.
Matched to your season
Northern turf has a narrow window. We help you time pre-emergent, feeding, and weed control so each application lands when it works.
Built to last between visits
Slow-release feeding and durable field paint mean fewer trips back, which is real labor savings over a season.
One source for the program
Fertilizer, herbicide, seed, and field marking from one supplier who knows how they fit together.
FAQS
Winter Products - common questions
What melts ice at the lowest temperature?
The Torch crystals and liquid both work down past -25°F, well below where plain rock salt slows around 20°F. The Liqui-Fire coating on the crystals also speeds melting in deep cold.
Is your ice melt safe for concrete?
The Torch crystals are safe for concrete after the first year of cure, and the liquid leaves no residue and will not track in. Use the right rate and avoid overuse on new concrete.
Why apply liquid de-icer before a storm?
Applied before freezing weather, it keeps ice from bonding to the surface, which makes clearing easier afterward and cuts how much material you need.
